Northern Dock Systems Inc. is seeking a Branch Manager to join our growing team in Surrey, BC.


The primary function of the
Branch Manager role is to make sure the designated service and installation functions are running as effectively and efficiently as possible, with a smooth process that meets the expectations and needs of our customers and clients and creates the highest level of efficiency and communication possible with strong focus on continuous improvement.

This role reports to VP (intern)


Key Responsibilities include:


Management of Assigned Field Staff

  • Primary point of support for all field workers in specific territory and engage with each member daily to ensure oversight of assigned job
  • Manage local coordinator(s)
  • Support local sales team
  • Responsible for all work in territory to be handled efficiently for all scopes of work (service, install, PM)
  • Ensure that work order execution is completed in a professional and accurate manner
  • Ensure time management and attendance policies are followed and accurate time tracking for billing purposes
  • Be involved in daily scheduling calls to maximize efficiency and know whereabouts of locations of field staff
  • Recruit, coach and teach new staff on technical issues

Service Management Daily Items

  • Work with inside service team to constantly review schedule to ensure maximum efficiency.
  • Review active order reports (WIP) to ensure all orders are being completed in acceptable time as outlined.
  • Learn and be capable to perform all internal functions including scheduling, work order reports, estimating, parts ordering, receiving etc.
  • Attend and participate in customer site visits when required
  • Site visits to assist sales resp
  • PM repair walk through, take offs
  • Job completion walkthrough with customer to ensure work is completed as requested
  • Warranty assessment and action plan to repair

Facility & Asset Management

  • GEO Reports
  • Idling report, gas, driving
  • Maintain parts inventory
  • Ensure facility is clean and organized in a safe and efficient manner
  • Ensure truck audits are performed for safety and cleanliness
  • Confirm tools are in proper working order and accounted for

Health & Safety

  • Confirm that all regulatory, NDS and client safety policies are followed
  • Maintain certifications as required
  • Ensure daily inspections sheets are completed and turned in on a regularly scheduled basis

Financial Management

  • Work with manager and finance to improve service technician efficiencies by utilizing, managing and being responsible for KPI's
  • Ensure that Accounting Department requests are resolved and communicated in a timely manner to internal and external parties
  • Resolve all customer escalations billing or service related

Review and Analysis of Reporting & Metrics with Manager

Work hours:
Monday to Friday, 7:30 am to 4:30 pm


Qualifications:


  • At least 3 years of managerial experience in similar role/industry, overseeing a diverse team
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to make operational decisions that improve efficiency
  • Experience establishing and using KPIS
  • Strong interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills
  • Strong leadership skills, providing mentorship, coaching, guidance and training as required
  • Experience with CRM and basic Microsoft skills (One Note, PowerPoint, Excel, Word)

Salary:
From $70,000.00 per year
