Job Summary:

Reporting to the Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Technician will assist the maintenance division with inventory control and preventative maintenance implementation for dairy processing equipment in our Mt.

Pearl, NL fluid milk plant.

Job Duties:

Testing of mechanical equipment (pumps, motors, drives, etc)
Overhaul of mechanical equipment

- liaise with third party vendors for repairs

Organize & catalogue maintenance parts inventory
Enter part(s) information into databases (Excel & SAP)
Liaise with third party vendors on part(s) information

Required Qualifications:

Must have experience/knowledge of industrial equipment such as pumps, motors, bearings, solenoids, etc.
Have computer skills such and work fluently with Microsoft Word & Excel
Demonstrated solid multitasking, problem solving, troubleshooting, and analytical skills
Advanced mechanical and technical aptitude
Proven communication and interpersonal skills
Should exhibit initiative, positive attitude, good judgement, diligence, and have an excellent work and attendance record
Previous production experience is an asset
Must be capable of some heavy lifting (<50lbs)
