Description

Rockpoint Gas Storage is the largest independent owner and operator of natural gas storage in North America, with strategically located assets in key natural gas producing and consuming regions.

Rockpoint Gas Storage owns and operates multiple facilities, including the AECO Hub(TM) and Warwick in Alberta and Wild Goose and Lodi in California.

This position is located in-office (5-days per week), in Calgary, and will report directly to the Director, IT.


OVERVIEW
We're looking for a self-motivated problem solver who enjoys technical challenges and ongoing learning. Ideally, you have built your customer service savvy through customer-facing jobs over the last 2-3 years.

You like working with people and have the IT know-how, patience and empathy that will allow you to provide outstanding service both in person and with our remote locations.


TYPICAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Windows Active Directory, Group Policy and Office 365 configuration and administration
  • Support daily administration of 200+ Windows VMs on VMWare
  • Manage small to medium infrastructure projects including upgrades, new services, service changes including end user impacts
  • Administer, order & maintain spare parts for systems as required
  • Shared 7X24 on call corporate mobile device(s) provided
  • Occasional field site visits to Canadian facilities
  • Occasional deployment and relocation of printers, desk stations, network cabling
  • Coordinate phone system moves, adds, changes via third party

  • Citrix Remote Access Infrastructure
  • PVR (Production Volume Reporting)
  • PRTG System Monitoring
  • Power shell and VB script
  • Aruba (Networking gear) Net App (Storage)
  • All VMs on VMWare or Microsoft Azure

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 5+ years of work experience in first\second level IT Support
  • 5+ years responsibility for Windows system administration
  • Good understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, TCP/IP
  • Experience supporting Citrix remote access
  • Experience administering backup(s)
  • SQL and Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience
  • MCSE, MCP, ITIL certification preferred
  • Good problem analysis and problemsolving skills
  • Welldeveloped interpersonal skills and multitasker
  • Able to hold On-Call responsibilities
  • NetApp, HP, Dell experience

Salary:
$47,652.75-$73,297.02 per year
