You will be developing a new mobile title for EA.

As a studio, we build games for Imaginative Creators which allow players to create something that is an expression of their unique personality.


As an Art Manager, you will report to and work directly with the team's Art Director to help reinforce the game's artistic direction, ensuring the highest quality standards are maintained throughout the development process.


Your primary responsibilities will be:


  • Work with the team's Art Director to build the artistic vision for our project
  • Collaborate with external art vendors, providing clear and constructive feedback to ensure art assets meet project requirements and quality standards
  • Work with the team's Development Director to create the internal and external art roadmaps, outlining project milestones, deliverables, and dependencies to ensure agreement on production schedules and project goals
  • Manage art production budgets, resource allocation, and workflow processes to improve efficiency and meet project milestones
  • Optimize and clean up art from external vendors
  • Maintain structure for art files
  • Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices in game art and design to improve the quality and innovation of our games

If you're interested, you'll need these skills or experiences:

  • 4+ years of experience working with both 2D and 3D external art vendors in game development, providing feedback and managing relationships to ensure project requirements are met
  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Maya, and Unity
  • Articulate artistic concepts, provide constructive feedback, and foster a collaborative environment
  • Prioritize multiple art initiatives simultaneously
  • A mobile mindset, including adherence to texture and polygon budgets and enhancing readability for small devices
  • Enthusiasm for collaborating with fellow artists
  • Passion for mobile gaming and a creative mindset with a desire to push the boundaries of visual storytelling and creative expression in gaming
  • This role is available for Full Remote, Hybrid, or Full On-Site work_

BC COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The base salary ranges listed below are for the defined geographic market pay zones in these locations.

If you reside outside of these locations, a recruiter will advise on the base salary range and benefits for your specific location.


BASE SALARY RANGES

  • British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs.

Victoria):
o $89,300 - $123,000 CAN Annually

Base salary is just one part of the overall compensation at EA.

We also offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees.

Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
