Description
SaskEnergy is seeking a qualified and motivated individual to join our team. The Customer Connect Technician provides customer service related to the customer connect process from start to finish.

This includes the acquisition and maintenance of customers, delivering service excellence by proactively managing customer connect requests timely and efficiently.

Position Details- Union - This position is permanent full time.

  • Core Responsibilities
  • Customer Contact and Acquisition Monitor progress of projects and regularly communicate with customer to obtain commitment.
  • Assist Business in developing and implementing longrange plans for providing natural gas service to unserved areas.
  • Identify and report to Business natural gas capacity concerns for existing service areas.
  • Develop and implement innovative marketing approaches to optimize customer signup in project areas.
  • Communicate SaskEnergy service options and associated policies and processes at customer meetings and public events.
  • Act as a resource to customer service staff relative to business policy, practices and procedures.
  • Resolve and participate in the resolution of customer issues, inquiries or complaints, promoting a positive Corporate image.
  • Build and maintain business relationships through SaskEnergy customer contacts, promoting future business growth and natural gas requirements.
Gather, analyze and record data on service installations and distribution layouts. Prepare customer documentation and coordinate the infrastructure work required to accommodate the customer's request. Support and participate in the development, marketing, promotion and delivery of Corporate and Area initiatives.- Administration- Prepare, distribute and maintain project files for construction purposes including the monitoring of file progress. Receive, sort, distribute, and respond to customer communications. Process information related to customer connect activity, ensuring accurate, timely and thorough data entry. Determine appropriate investment levels utilizing the Business Investment model for gasification projects and letters of offer. Prepare customer documentation, business models and provide work request administration following the work request process.- Compliance in Operations, Safety, Health and Environment- Locate underground facilities. Read and interpret facility maps and drawings as required for work assignments and as needed provide information for updating. Inspect and perform maintenance duties on vehicles and equipment. Identify and report non-compliance safety situations. Adhere to Corporate safety standards, policies, practices, legislation and regulatory requirements.- Qualifications- Grade 12 or equivalent. Valid Class 5 driver's licence. 5 years' experience in natural gas field operations and/or natural gas construction activities.
Journeyperson Plumbing Certificate or Gas Fitter's license would be considered an asset. Line locating experience would be considered an asset.- Additional Information- Travel, including overnight stays away from bid headquarters is required on occasion.
