Virtual Assistant for Content Production Company

Job description
We're a growing media company producing high-performing content. We're looking for a sharp, tech-savvy Virtual Assistant to join our production team on an ongoing basis (30 hours/week).This is NOT a traditional VA role. You'll be working at the intersection of AI tools, video production workflows, and YouTube channel operations.
The ideal candidate is someone who's comfortable learning new tools quickly, following detailed standard operating procedures, and managing multiple projects simultaneously.
What you'll be doing:
Content Production:
- Following our stepbystep production SOPs to create complete episode packages (scripts, AIgenerated videos, character images, titles, descriptions)
- Using Claude AI to generate scripts, video prompts, and image prompts from episode concepts
- Running AI image/video generation tools
- Quality checking all AI outputs against our production standards
- Uploading completed asset packages to Google Drive in our standardized folder structure
- Managing episode workflow in Trello from idea pull through editor handoff
YouTube Channel Operations:
- Setting up new YouTube channels (creating accounts, branding, profile optimization)
- Creating and managing associated email accounts for channels
- Uploading and scheduling videos with optimized titles, descriptions, tags, and thumbnails
- Monitoring channel analytics and flagging performance trends
- Managing community engagement (comment moderation, pinned comments)
- Ensuring all uploads meet YouTube's technical requirements (resolution, aspect ratio, metadata)
General Media Company Support:
- Coordinating with our channel manager and video editor through Trello and messaging
- Administrative tasks as needed (scheduling, file organization, tool account management)
What we're looking for:
- Highly comfortable with technology and learning new AI tools — you don't need to have used these exact tools before, but you need to pick them up fast
- Excellent at following detailed procedures — our SOPs are thorough and we expect them to be followed precisely
- Selfdirected and organized — you'll be managing your own workflow across multiple episodes and tasks daily
- Familiar with YouTube as a platform
- Strong attention to detail
- Reliable internet connection and ability to work 30 hours per week on a consistent schedule
- Clear communicator in English — all coordination happens through Whatsapp, and Discord
- Anthropic/Claude AI
- Sora 2 or similar
- Nano Banana Pro or similar (AI image generation)
- Google Drive (file management)
- Trello (project/workflow management)
- YouTube Studio (channel management, uploads, analytics)
- Google Workspace (email creation, docs)
Bonus (not required):
- Previous experience with AI content generation tools
- Experience managing or operating YouTube channels
- Familiarity with SEO and YouTube algorithm optimization
- Experience in media production or content creation pipelines
- Knowledge of video editing workflows (you won't edit, but understanding helps coordination)
Schedule & Compensation:
- 30 hours per week, ongoing
- Flexible scheduling, but we need consistent daily availability (not all 30 hours crammed into 2 days)
- This is a longterm position — we're building a team, not hiring for a oneoff project
