Our current bases are in CYYC / CYYZ with the potential for other bases to open in the future.
WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
As a Captain at Lynx Air, you will be entrusted with the safe and efficient operation of our aircraft
Your primary responsibilities include:

Flight Operations: Conducting pre-flight briefings, ensuring all safety checks are completed, and overseeing the execution of flight plans. File reports of the flight trip and the status of the aircraft before and after landing. Anticipating issues and maintaining the commercial schedule.

Decision-Making: Making critical decisions during flight, managing unforeseen circumstances, and ensuring the safety and well-being of passengers and crew. Anticipating issues and maintaining professionalism during emergencies.

Communication: Maintaining effective communication with the flight & cabin crew, air traffic control, and ground personnel to ensure smooth and coordinated operations.

Leadership: Providing leadership to the crew, fostering a collaborative and positive working environment, and adhering to company policies and procedures.

Safety Compliance: Ensuring strict adherence to aviation regulations, company policies, and industry best practices to guarantee the highest standards of safety.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:
- Minimum of 5,000 hours total fixed-wing time
- 500+ PIC hours on jet aircraft above pounds, or 1000+ hours on B737NG/MAX (B73C)
- Current Canadian Airline Transport Pilot Licence (ATPL)
- Category 1 Medical
- Valid Canadian Passport or Canadian work permit
- Must be able to obtain and retain a Restricted Area Identity Card (RAIC)
- Ability to travel/operate to the United States, and any other countries within our network
- Ability to obtain TSA clearance for simulator training in the United States
- No criminal convictions for which a pardon has not been granted
- Successful completion of Company Alcohol and Drug testing program
- The ability to conduct multiday parings away from base in accordance with the CARs
