Living Sky School Division's Principals use their unique position in the school and leadership skills to build capacity in school staff so that they may possess the skills and be empowered to make positive change to ensure effective schools, and ultimately, success for all students.


Our administrator's core responsibilities include:

Providing leadership in LSKYSD's five leadership domains

Ensuring teaching and learning are the best they can be across the school.

Creating and assuring

an environment conducive to student learning and safety,

collegial dialogue,

high-quality teaching, staff development and

an effective alignment of resources with school goals.

General organization, administrations, and supervision of the school.

Balancing the responsibilities of being both managers and instructional leaders.

A Saskatchewan Teaching Certificate with a minimum five years of successful teaching experience

A Master's Degree, or be committed to completing post-graduate studies in an applicable field. Living Sky School Division supports professional growth of their staff through a comprehensive bursary program

Made a commitment to advance truth and reconciliation in the education system

Training and/or experience implementing trauma informed practice within their school
