What we're looking for
- Experience in a startup environment; you're a self-starter
- Experience with Javascript ), HTML, CSS (SASS), CSS-in-JS (Styled-Components), and HTML
- Experience with Redux or other state management frameworks
- Advanced knowledge and understanding of web technologies and UI/UX standards.
- Experience with performance monitoring and optimizing the web experience
- Experience with cross-browser development and responsive web-design
- Familiarity with issue tracking tools (i.e. JIRA, Asana)
- Experience with version control tools like Git
- Experience with A/B testing
Bonus:
- Knowledge of testing frameworks such as Jest
- Experience with CI / CD

About the role
As a Senior React Developer at Newton, you will work on our main web project in , developing high-quality components. You'll use modern techniques, tools, and frameworks and can communicate the tradeoffs for your technical decisions. You'll drive features from start to finish, from gathering requirements with business stakeholders to leading technical design and implementation. You write high-quality, testable code. When mistakes are made, you dive deep into root-cause and can craft up a solution. You work well in a small collaborative team; every member is a key contributor. You'll mentor junior and intermediate engineers in delivering solutions and lead the team in best practices.
