Description

The Position:

To be a key strategic business partner to Customer Marketing and the cross functional brand team.

To provide specialized brand & market performance analyses, interpretation and the development of actionable recommendations that improve the effectiveness of the planning and execution of commercial strategy.

Responsible for modeling and building assumption based forecasting scenarios as well as developing analytics based brand targeting and segmentation recommendations.

Acts as a key strategic business partner to the cross functional Marketing team, providing actionable recommendations based on advanced analytics.


Responsibilities:


  • Manage the local forecasting processes for assigned therapeutic areas and brands. Work closely with Customer Marketing, Customer Insights, Sales and Market Access teams to provide assumption based forecasts for key brands. Build and model assumption based forecasting scenarios for the key forecasting cycles and brand planning and make adjustments as required throughout the year. Monitor the progress of brand forecasting on a monthly/quarterly basis and report progress/accuracy. Work with the Global forecasting team to accommodate any global forecasting requirements or processes.
  • Foster strong working relationships with key counterparts in Customer Insights to ensure that all relevant information is incorporated and integrated into analyses and the work done in both areas is optimized and aligned
  • Gain a deep understanding of the business and customer and lead the team in solving critical business issues through scoping, hypotheses development, and advanced analytics. Support analysis on campaign/cycle/channel impact assessment and omnichannel mix modeling and provide data driven recommendations on how to optimize campaign outcomes. Responsible for building brand targeting and micro segmentation recommendations for brand planning.
  • Serve as the brand team analytics expert, through active participation on assigned brand teams, leading the market/brand understanding for the team through insight based presentations to the team and communication that guide decisions affecting marketing or sales strategy. Provide specialized business performance analysis including statistical assessment of market actions using multiple statistical techniques/approaches such as ROI. Provide specialized analytics to assist in brand strategy decisions such as predictive modeling to identify business opportunity. Provide actionable insights and recommendations to impact strategy and planning of omnichannel activities via optimal utilization of details, samples, and other promotional resources Uncover/identify new and innovative techniques and methodologies that bring leading edge innovation to BI business analytics and the resulting strategy development.
This position is based in the Burlington, Ontario office located at 5180 South Service Road and is
flexible .


Employees in flexible roles are required to be at the office a minimum of 50% of the time each month and must report to the office when requested and required by their Manager/Department.


Requirements:


  • Minimum bachelor's degree in an Engineering, Science or Business discipline
  • Master's degree in Statistics, Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields with an emphasis on statistics and business analysis would be an asset
  • Proficiency in advanced mathematics/statistics (regressions, optimization, clustering analysis, predictive modeling etc) and data mining
  • Demonstrated business/financial acumen and the ability to understand the business issues and connect them to opportunities for analysis and modeling
  • Demonstrated experience in the following skills would be preferred: strong quantitative analysis background, experience in working with large, complex data systems to aggregate, organize, and prepare data for use in business analysis, experience in extracting, cleaning, preparing and modeling data, and proficiency in hypothesesdriven approaches.
  • Must have advanced experience modeling in Excel and communicating insights in PowerPoint
