As a governance and compliance Specialist, you will be part of the Building Operations Team managing 6 properties in Saint John, New Brunswick.

Your Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement and maintain governance documentation that supports department strategy and operations, including: standards, processes, procedures, guidelines and templates.
  • Develop sound recommendations for operations and compliance tasks along with prioritize them based on the ease of implementation and expected impact.
  • Assist managers and work stream leads by designing change plans.
  • Maintain process document management system.
  • Research industry best practices.
  • Identify/document existing and new processes for service requirements, assets and equipment maintenance.
  • Build an understanding of current and developing HSE regulations associated with Building Operations activities.
  • Develop, manage, and conduct periodic selfassessments to confirm compliance standards are followed.
  • Manage and monitor the Building Operations Regulatory Compliance register and liaise with the Regulatory Compliance team.

Your Skills:

  • Demonstrated interpersonal communication skill.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Able to work independently with mínimal direction and able to respond quickly to emergency situations.
  • Good time management skills and ability to prioritize work in order to deliver successful results within agreed upon time frames. Good judgement and decisionmaking skills, detail orientated and good organizational skills, positive attitude.
  • Predictive and Data Analytics

Your Experience:

  • 35 years Experience in any combination of the following: Regulatory Compliance and regulation review, Corporate Documentation generation and review, Corporate Governance or Health and Safety
  • Diploma or Certification in Business or another related field
