JOB SUMMARY
We are looking for a talented Accounting Technician to join our Montreal team.

This person will be a key teammate in our Finance team and will provide support to some of our fundamental accounting/finance processes.

We are seeking someone who is very motivated and looking for career growth.


KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Keep financial records and establish, maintain and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
  • Prepare tax returns
  • Reconciling processed work by verifying entries and comparing system reports to balances
  • Paying vendors by scheduling pay checks and ensuring payment is received for outstanding credit; generally responding to all vendor enquiries regarding finance
  • Preparing analyses of accounts and producing monthly reports
  • Maintain general ledgers and financial statements
  • Continuing to improve the payment process
  • Prepare other statistical, financial and accounting reports

WHO YOU ARE

  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar role
  • Accounting degree
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions
  • Strong sense of initiative and resourcefulness
  • Autonomy, attention to detail and rigor
  • A fun person
