Non-Ferrous Receiver - Hamilton, Canada - American Iron and Metal

We are currently recruiting for a Receiver Non-Ferrous with experience for our Burlington location. Under the supervision of the Retail Manager, the incumbent will be responsible for the general maintenance of the premises.

• Receive, sort and organize different types of non-ferrous metals
• Classify the non-ferrous and establish the type of material
• Properly weigh and track the material
• Do general maintenance of the premises
• Ensure the equipment in good condition
• Data entry into the RECY system
• Provide excellent customer service
• Help with torch cutting if necessary
• Preparing shipments and receiving equipment using forklift as required
• Work with a safety oriented mindset

• Experience in operating a forklift
• Experience in metal recycling
• Ability to work indoors/outdoors in all weather conditions
• Good physical fitness
• Ability to work as a team
• Excellent attendance and safety record.

HEALTH AND SAFETY

HOURS OF WORK

• Permanent full-time position
• 44 hours per week, able to work extended hours/weekends when deemed necessary
