Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a
Safety and Compliance Manager on a permanent basis on our Energy team. This position is a remote opportunity and can be based in Saskatoon, Regina, Edmonton, Calgary, or Winnipeg.

What you'll do:

Develop short

- and long-term safety strategies and determine requirements for the Energy Products and Services and Propane teams to support adherence to regulatory requirements and safe work practices and procedures.

Offer safety and compliance advisement for the safe operation of corporate facilities including Propane operations, Corporate Petroleum Bulk Plants, Corporate Cardlocks, and Corporate Gas Bars.
Lead a team in the review, revision, design/development, and implementation of general workplace OH&S, fleet safety compliance, emergency management, and pressure vessel regulatory compliance procedures.
Remain wellversed in regulatory safety and compliance requirements related to propane and petroleum (e.g., Transport Canada, ECCC, OH&S, CSA, TSSA, TSA, ABSA, etc.) and inform stakeholders when amendments occur.
Assess risk, correct compliance deficiencies, identify root cause of compliance exceptions, and develop corrective action plans.

Who you'll work with:

The Team:
You will lead a team of two Propane Safety and Compliance positions, and two Sr. Energy HSE Advisors, ensuring proper oversight, performance development, coaching, and training.

The Collaborators:

Operating with a high-level of proactive collaboration, you will advise our Energy Products & Services and Propane operations teams on matters of safety and compliance and will work closely with other internal and external stakeholders such as Legal, People & Culture, Logistics, regulatory bodies, etc.

Who you are:

You are looking for a career in safety & compliance and:

Have 10+ years of experience in safety management systems and regulatory compliance.
Have a 2year diploma and a CRSP or CHSC designation. A oneyear OH&S Certificate is considered an asset (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
Are familiar with auditing and emergency response practices, and the Petroleum and Propane Industries.
Are adept in collaboration, communication, stakeholder engagement, and leadership.
