2024 CFO Canadian Banking Finance Data Analyst
What will you do?
- Design, deliver, and implement analytic development projects, with the use of RBC's analytics tools
- Ensure that project activities are accomplished within approved time frames, scope, and budgets
- Confirm that projects adhere to development standards and guidelines
- Work with data warehouses on various projects
- Build out a robust production data ecosystem using big data tools
- Work in a dynamic, collaborative, progressive and highly performing team
- Ability to make a real impact to the bank and have decisions that will change how we do business
What do you need to succeed?
Must-have
- Currently enrolled at a Canadian postsecondary institution with a focus on engineering, computer science, mathematics, statistics, business analysis
- Excellent interpersonal and highly developed communication skills (verbal and written)
- Creative and analytical thinker who is selfdriven and capable of working in a fast paced environment
- Strong MS Office skills
- Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint
- Programming languages (SQL and VBA)
- The ability to deal with problems that are not well defined and create clear and concise solutions with feedback from many users.
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of design, development, and implementation utilizing current analytics technologies and architecture, as well as data warehouse concepts and methodologies
- Relational database concepts and design experience
- Experience or understanding of opensource software frameworks (Hadoop), data visualization tools (Tableau)
- Ability to use big data tools (Datameer) and concepts to build robust, simple and agile data processes.
Job Summary
The RBC Canadian Banking Product Finance team is using big data to answer some of our toughest finance questions.
We are looking for a dynamic and highly motivated co-op student that will help us continue to uncover and discover key business indicators using our big data production environment as well as redefine and automate flows and processes.
Examples of interesting projects that you may encounter during the term of your co-op could be building analytics and trending dashboards, reinventing process flows and building out and automating team capabilities.
