About The Opportunity:

In this role you will assist with the preparation of engineering design documentation for municipal infrastructure projects utilizing engineering design software. You will also provide technical support to the Civic Operations Department by preparing and coordinating as-built record drawings and data for submittal to the City's GIS Department. Apply your technical expertise to ensure that all work complies with current municipal, Provincial, Federal, and environmental standards.

About Your Background:

An excellent communicator, you have effective organization, prioritization and time management skills and can handle multiple tasks while meeting deadlines under a demanding workload. Requirements include completion of a two (2)-year post-secondary program in civil engineering technology from a recognized technical institute, eligibility for certification with the Association of Technologists and Technicians of B.C. (ASTTBC), and two (2) years of experience in the civil engineering field. Previous municipal experience will be considered an asset. In addition, you have a mechanical aptitude and knowledge of survey requirements for design and construction activities, utility infrastructure design, elementary engineering and surveying practices and procedures. Advanced computer aided drafting and design skills are essential for this position.
