Analyst - Loan Portfolio Management


What is the opportunity?

As an Analyst Analyst within the Loan Portfolio Management Group, based in Toronto, Canada, you will be responsible for setting the loan portfolio strategy, analyzing loan profitability, and monitoring loan book exposure.

RBCCM's loan portfolio clients include most of the largest corporations and financial institutions globally.

Given the importance of the loan product to RBCCM's clients, the Loan Portfolio strategy is a vital component of RBCCM's overall strategy.


What will you do?

  • Effectively convey complex information and financial data in a clear and concise manner to senior management
  • Determine how RBC Capital Markets can be best positioned to capitalize on current market and industry trends
  • Analyze portfolio data (credit risk, client revenue, capital, etc.) to drive strategy and business planning for the Corporate and Investment Bank
  • Develop creative solutions through automation to drive increased efficiency and accuracy of existing reporting and data models

Must-have

  • Ability to create clear and concise presentation material and effectively communicate the desired messaging
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with ability to maintain relationships at all levels within the organization
  • Welldeveloped quantitative and qualitative analytical skills
  • Ability to solve complex problems with datadriven solutions
  • A global outlook, intellectual curiosity, and a passion for solving complex problems

Nice-to-have

  • Understanding of financial statements and accounting principles
  • Familiarity with Capital Markets products and services
  • Undergraduate degree
