Job Overview:
We are seeking an experienced, hands-on professional to serve as our Front of House Manager while also actively working as a Server during shifts. This combined role requires strong leadership, excellent service skills, and the ability to jump in on the floor when needed in our fast-paced, high-volume environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate the front-of-house team (servers, hosts, bartenders) to deliver top-tier service
Manage floor operations, seating, reservations, and guest flow during busy shifts
Actively serve tables as a server: greet guests, take orders, serve food/beverages, upsell menu items, handle payments, and provide knowledgeable recommendations on tapas, wines, and Spanish specialties
Create and manage staff schedules, including shift assignments and coverage
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and special requests with professionalism
Train and onboard new staff on service standards, menu knowledge, and Spanish-inspired hospitality
Collaborate with kitchen management to ensure smooth service and food quality
Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming dining environment
Assist with inventory, cash handling, opening/closing procedures, and side work as needed
Requirements:
Minimum 2–3 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in a full-service restaurant (fine dining, tapas, or high-volume preferred)
Proven server experience with strong customer service and multitasking skills
Experience using POS systems, reservation platforms, and scheduling tools
Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
Passion for hospitality, guest service, and authentic Spanish/Mediterranean cuisine
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays (including lunch and dinner service)
Must be eligible to work in Canada
Food safety certification (or willingness to obtain) is a must
