What can you expect in this role?:
Responsibilities:
- Relieve fulltime receptionist for breaks and lunch hour, during planned absences, and in emergency situations.
- Maintain kitchen, supply room, and meeting room stock levels and replenish supplies as necessary. Alert the Office Services Coordinator when stock is low.
- Ensure that the supply room and other stock areas are tidy and well organized.
- Keep copiers and printers loaded with paper.
- Provide regular administrative assistance to the underwriting department, as directed.
- Maintain Organizational Charts
- Update Health and Safety (H&S) signage and track and maintain H&S stock.
- Oversight of desk booking software.
- Assist the Coordinator with a variety of tasks on request including cheque processing.
- Assist the marketing department with photocopying and printing and other tasks as directed.
- Assist various departments with sending files to offsite storage.
- Maintain kitchen and meeting rooms and coordination of janitorial services.
- Load, run, empty and reload dishwashers as needed. Wash dishes that miss the cycle
- Wipe counters, tables, whiteboards, and other surfaces as needed.
- Remove garbage/clutter as needed.
What you bring to the role?
Experience & Qualifications
- Good English communication skills and phone mannerisms.
- High school diploma and some postsecondary education is preferred.
- Prior office experience is preferred.
- Demonstrated experience using MS Office programs.
- Reliable and honest with a 'can do' attitude and willingness to help where it is needed.
- Able to work effectively and harmoniously in a team environment.
- Able to take direction.
- Friendly and courteous in all interactions, whether with customers or coworkers.
