Description
To carry out allocated cleaning duties achieving standard of cleanliness and presentation as laid down in the Standards & Procedures Manual and ensuring guest satisfaction


Areas of Accountability:


  • To clean rooms, storage areas and corridors as allocated achieving standards of cleanliness and presentation as laid down in the Brand Standards and/or instructed by the Executive Housekeeper.
  • The correct usage and storage of cleaning agents in line with health and safety regulations and manufacturer's instructions.
  • To use and clean equipment with care reporting any defective equipment in line with the departmental operations standards.
  • To carry out opening and closing procedures as per hotel standards, while ensuring accurate completion of any reports.
  • To carry out deep cleaning duties as allocated by the Supervisor/s on duty.
  • To use hotel linen in an efficient and cost-effective manner while ensuring corridors are free from dirty linen as per company standard.
  • To report all maintenance faults as per hotel standards.

Staff Duties:


  • To adhere to all matters relating to hygiene, health & safety as laid down by law and
by company policy.

  • To carry out any reasonable request.
  • To be aware of the action to be taken in the event of an emergency such as fire and
bomb in accordance with procedures laid down by company and hotel policy.

  • To be committed to providing exceptional customer service working within the
guidelines of giving the customer more than is expected; treating each individual
with respect; only doing what is safe and recognizing the company financial
situation.

  • To work and communicate in a professional and ethical manner with colleagues
assisting where necessary to develop team spirit and to achieve standards of work
and guest care as required by hotel policy.

  • To achieve guest satisfaction by responding to and anticipating guests needs
ensuring all comments and complaints are action in accordance with hotel and
company policy.

  • To assist with team member orientation and training within the department as
required by company policy.

  • To maintain standards of punctuality, uniform presentation and personal hygiene as
required by hotel and company policy.

  • To contribute to cost control through energy conservation and correct usage and
storage of all materials/equipment as per departmental standards and
manufacturer's instructions.

  • To attend meetings as requested and to recognize the importance of contributing
new ideas and initiative to the overall success of the operation.

  • To assist with cleaning duties in order to maintain a clean and well-ordered work
area in line with hotel policy.

  • To contribute to the security of the building, company assets and guest/co-worker
safety by reporting of suspicious persons and handling of keys/cash as appropriate to
the position following procedures laid down by company policy.


Salary:
$15.50-$16.50 per hour


Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time

Part-time hours: 16-40 per week
