Job Description

Embark on a fulfilling career as a Home Support Worker (HSW) where you'll establish meaningful connections with patients and their families, making a genuine impact on their lives. Your role involves assisting patients with personal care and day-to-day activities to support them in continuing to live at home comfortably, while also providing relief to caregivers and family members. As a Spectrum HSW, you'll deliver exceptional care and support to our patients.

Provide basic personal care for medically stable patients under supervision
Assist with activities of daily living like bathing, dressing, and socialization
Undertake meal preparation, light housekeeping, and other household tasks
Offer respite care in the absence of the primary caregiver
Stay informed about patients' conditions, preferences, and special requirements
Travel within the designated region between patient locations

Qualifications

Supportive Care Worker Certificate, Health Care Aide Certificate, or equivalent
Valid Vulnerable Sector Police Check and TB Test (within 6 months)
Current CPR and First Aid Certification
Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
Ability to engage with others in a compassionate and respectful manner
