Position Description:


Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary

  • Provides comprehensive speech and language assessments and intervention to children with a variety of communication needs
  • Follows evidencebased approaches to assessment and treatment
  • Manages a varied caseload and meets required timelines
  • Maintains complete and accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record system
  • Communicates effectively and maintains relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers and other relevant community stakeholders
  • Provides education and feedback to families
  • All shifts to take place at Boomerang Health, SickKids' paediatric multidisciplinary clinic in Vaughan
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with experience in paediatric assessment/treatment
  • Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario

Experience/Skills

  • New graduates are welcome to apply; CASLPO mentorship provided
  • Strong proficiency in assessment and evidencebased speech language therapy interventions with children
  • Experience with virtual platforms is an asset
  • Proven ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
  • Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English
  • Utilizes critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Efficient time management and organizational skills required
