Position Description:

Part-Time Speech-Language Pathologist

Job Summary

Provides comprehensive speech and language assessments and intervention to children with a variety of communication needs
Follows evidencebased approaches to assessment and treatment
Manages a varied caseload and meets required timelines
Maintains complete and accurate medical records using Electronic Medical Record system
Communicates effectively and maintains relationships with referring physicians, healthcare providers and other relevant community stakeholders
Provides education and feedback to families
All shifts to take place at Boomerang Health, SickKids' paediatric multidisciplinary clinic in Vaughan
Other duties as required

Qualifications

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, with experience in paediatric assessment/treatment
Registered with the College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists of Ontario

Experience/Skills

New graduates are welcome to apply; CASLPO mentorship provided
Strong proficiency in assessment and evidencebased speech language therapy interventions with children
Experience with virtual platforms is an asset
Proven ability to work as a member of a multidisciplinary team
Requires excellent oral and written communication skills in English
Utilizes critical thinking and problemsolving skills
Efficient time management and organizational skills required
