Social Media Account Manager - Qode Social Job Posting
Qode Social is a Toronto-based full-service Social Media Marketing Agency. We're seeking a self-motivated Social Media Account Manager to join our dynamic team. Why should you want to work for us? Please note that this is a hybrid role and requires in-person work.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist in performing all tasks necessary to achieve the organization's mission
- Report to Managing Director(s) and management on clientrelated issues & escalations
- Performs daily tasks for Qode Social social media audits, community management, content strategy, regular scheduling, account building, regular blog posts, sales calls, content creation, and curation
- Operate as the lead point of contact for any and all matters specific to the assigned client list
- Creation and maintenance of paid social campaigns, with a focus on increasing ROI for clients to help them meet their goals
- Collaboration with Account Management and other teams to set a strategic direction
- Define the most important social media KPIs
- Build and maintain strong, longlasting customer relationships
- Develop a trusted advisor relationship with assigned accounts
- Communicate clearly the progress tasks and client performance with fellow team members and management
- Assist with highseverity requests or issue escalations as needed
- Create, curate, or request content for client and internal purposes: GIFS, videos, photography, copy
- Schedule content for Qode Social clients
- Create content calendars for clients
- Create QodeScore Audit for prospective clients
- Perform daily tasks for Qode Social, such as client meetings, sales calls, etc.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
- Passion for social media and an unquenchable thirst to understand all platforms: Instagram, Facebook, X, LinkedIn, TikTok, Pinterest
- Good knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Photoshop and InDesign
- Proven work experience as a Social Media Manager for brands
- Handson experience in content management
- Willingness to learn new technologies and tools
- Analytical and multitasking skills
- Strong organizational skills
- Able to demonstrate to clients how proposed social media solutions will show expected return on investment with the company
- Actively listens to clients and continually identifies opportunities that have the potential to build clients' business
- Deliverables consistently demonstrate thought leadership and innovation
- Paid Media experience is an asset
- Basic understanding of SEO (Search Engine Optimization) an asset
- Agency experience as an asset
- A postsecondary degree is required in a relevant industry (i.e., arts, business, etc.)
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
Education:
- Completion of a bachelor's degree at an accredited college or university or equivalent work experience
- Degree field: Media Information & Technology, Graphic Design, Social Media Marketing, English, Arts
Experience:
- Experience operating scheduling systems (like Hootsuite, Meta Business Suite, Asana) for a brand
- Experience developing and executing social media strategies for brands
- Experience managing multiple platforms for a brand (Ex., Instagram, Facebook & X)
