is currently recruiting for the position of an _
Health and Safety/ Waste management Technician_ to join our group, reporting directly to our Project Managers and President.

Security clearance or ability to obtain is required. Experience within the field, and bilingualism are an asset but not required.


Qualifications:


  • Experience in project management, ideally related to environmental consulting, health and safety, inspection and investigations.
  • Undergraduate degree and/or applicable diplomas and/certificates.
  • Familiarity with regulations and laws surrounding hazardous materials & health and safety (Lead, Asbestos, Mould Etc.)
  • Valid driver's license, insurance & personal vehicle is required (workrelated travel expenses will be compensated).
  • Experience providing reviews to proposals, specifications and technical reports.
  • Background knowledge of provincial and federal regulatory requirements.
  • Experience working in a team environment and managing a strong client relationships

Reliability or Secret PSPC Security Clearance is preferred_ but not required.

  • Strong organizational and time management skills.

Bilingualism is Required_

  • Proof of COVID19 full Vaccination required
- comfortable working with waste/waste services/waste removal and sorting


Key responsibilities, but is not limited to:

  • Coordinating and performing designated substance inspections, indoor air quality assessments and air monitoring of environmental abatement/remediation projects.
  • Preparing proposals and bids for submission.
  • Tracking project budgets and cost control.
  • Maintaining excellent client relationships in various industries.
  • Preparing reports, summarizing data and drawings.
  • Maintaining and enhancing quality control within the group by ensuring accuracy of work prior to submittal.
  • Conducting project administration tasks as required, including timesheet generation, project finance management and project invoicing.
  • Carrying out safe work practices in accordance with GEC site specific Health & Safety plans and changing Standards.
  • Once trained, individuals will complete hazardous material assessments, indoor air quality (IAQ) investigations, field sampling
  • This position may require short term work related travel.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Salary:
$40,000.00-$50,000.00 per year
