JOB OVERVIEW
Standard Electric is looking to expand our small team.
The Apprentice Electrician is a new role, and we are searching for a hardworking individual who is looking to grow and learn with our company.
This position will help with multiple areas of the business and will give the applicant an opportunity to learn new skills and trades such as becoming a journeyperson electrician, learning how to estimate projects and traffic control.
We are looking for a self-starter who takes initiative to get the job done in a safe, and efficient manner.
The ideal applicant will bring a can-do attitude and an adaptive mindset.As an Apprentice Electrician, you will contribute to the company's success in several ways:
Responsibilities:
- Traffic Control & Flagging
- Trenching and road work
- Pulling wire & splicing (no prior knowledge required)
- Estimating projects (no prior knowledge required)
- Street light servicing and installation
Requirements:
- Strong traffic & roadway safety and knowledge
- Proficient with computers (such as excel, word and outlook)
- Electrical experience is an asset but not required
- Previous road working experience is an asset but not required
- Class 5 driver's license
- Traffic Control Training
- Electrical Apprenticeship Training
Salary:
$20.90-$28.50 per hour

Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Port Coquitlam, BC: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (preferred)
Experience:
- electrical: 1 year (preferred)
Licence/Certification:
- Driver's License (required)
Work Location:
