The Opportunity:


The Technical Program Manager is responsible for the delivery of strategic initiatives identified for viewing and transformation products, specifically focused on our cloud solutions.

The role will manage the overall timeline for the project, manage issues and risks, and communicate project status to project sponsors and upper management.

The Technical Program Manager has strong leadership, excellent communication, and "hands-on" program/project management skills, as well as proficiency in motivating and leading others through vision, strategic positioning, and leadership characteristics.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads Scrum processes and activities, for example: triages, scrubbing, sprint planning and standups, reporting, etc.
  • Accountable for the successful launch and delivery of new, key, Viewing and Transformation features and functions for the OpenText Cloud. Helps team achieve program/project goals while partnering with multiple Product Managers on overall business objectives
  • Helps create, populate, automate, & manage metrics dashboards, identifying and following datadriven business and operational improvement opportunities
  • Develops work plans, schedules, project estimates, resource plans, dependency tracking and status reports to stakeholders and senior leadership
  • Provides insightful analyses on the efficiency, quality, and economics of Viewing and Transformation projects based on data, identifying data gaps, requirements validations and working with stakeholders to fill those gaps
  • Interfaces with other teams, leaders: Engineering, Cloud Operations, Product Management, Professional Services, and Customer Support
  • Recommends/takes action to direct the analysis of and solution to problems
  • Provides visibility to team impediments/risks and helps eliminate them
Experience

  • 10+ years of IT or software industry experience in a hightech environment, with 5 years in software development /product management
  • Proven track record of successful development or management of complex, crossfunctional, large implementations
  • Experience with cloud data security (FISMA/FedRAMP compliance) and working with public cloud solutions (AWS, Google, and Azure)
Knowledge/Skills

  • Senior Programing Skills
  • C/C++, Java, etc.
  • Deep knowledge of multiple systems, e.g., Linux administration and Systems support
  • Multiple program and project management methodologies (Agile. Hybrid, waterfall), BI and collaboration tools (Atlassian, etc.)
  • Excellent communication and people skills
  • Strong attention to detail and understanding of intricate crossdependencies
  • Effective facilitation skills for participatory decision making
  • Strong interpersonal and collaborative problemsolving skills
  • Strong business acumen and proficiency in prioritiesbased planning, schedule management and resource management.
  • Flexible and adaptable to timesensitive situations and work in a highpressure environment
  • Experience interviewing SMEs to develop, edit, revise documentation; standard operating procedures, system security plans, procedures.
  • Ability to work across multiple silos and lead crossfunctional teams to successful outcomes; ability to address complex situations into plans
  • Willingness to learn new technologies as needed, with high selfmotivation and critical thinking
  • Strong ability to interpret data quickly and communicate to executive/business sponsors
  • Expert level experience with JIRA, Confluence and PM Tools
  • Accustomed to working in a global environment involving multiple development sites in various time zones.
  • This role requires onsite attendance 3x a week at our Waterloo, ON office. We are unable to offer a 100% remote role.
