Posting Overview:
The Speech-Language Pathologist will primarily provide diagnosis and remediation of students with communications disorders including screening, assessment, consultation, programming and therapy.
Qualifications/Experience:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology is required;
- Professional certification with the Ontario College of Audiologists and Speech Language Pathologists (CALSPO) is required;
- OSLA membership is an asset.
Other Key Skills & Knowledge:
- excellent communication, interpersonal and team member skills required in order to interact with students, parents and staff;
- previous experience as a speech-language pathologist in an education setting is preferred;
- excellent analytical skills;
- excellent leadership and team building skills;
- excellent time management and organization skills in order to meet deadlines;
- working knowledge of word processing software, preferably Microsoft Word;
- knowledge and experience with Augmentative Communication is an asset;
- travel throughout the district may be required;
- all other duties as assigned by the System Coordinator of Special Education.
Position Effective Date & Length:
Temporary, 35 hours/week. Home location to be determined.
Two positions available - one to end June 30, 2023 and one to end December 2023.
Salary:
$38.47/hour - $40.92/hour
