This job is based in Souris, PE and involves overseeing the maintenance department and activities at Agrawest Foods.
This role is hands-on, with the Maintenance Manager directly handling maintenance, repair, and equipment replacements in the manufacturing and production areas.
Key responsibilities:
- Supervising the maintenance team
- Conducting regular inspections and maintenance of mechanical systems
- Managing maintenance operations and budget
- Generating necessary reports
- Leading monthly safety meetings
- Participating in management and HACCP meetings
The plant operates round-the-clock with occasional shutdowns for maintenance, thus the Maintenance Manager needs to be available for any maintenance issues outside regular hours, reachable via phone, text, or in-person when necessary.
Requirements:
- Industrial Electrician Certificate
- Experience in Instrumentation and PLC is advantageous
- Proficient in reading and interpreting schematics and blueprints
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Analytical mindset to troubleshoot and resolve issues
