    Role Summary


    To repair and troubleshoot equipment and machinery efficiently, safely and in accordance with the plant standards, design electrical circuits and PLC programs for machines, work on projects and improvements.

    **The successful candidate for this role will work at our new Magna Structures Heart Lake facility located in Brampton, ON**

    Key Responsibilities

    • Establishes and follows-up full project implementation including timing, concept, feasibility, design, specifications, construction and commissioning
    • Maintains and upgrades PLC software
    • Analyses, records and charts documentation required for maintenance records and projects
    • Services, maintains, repairs, installs and tests new or existing equipment and verifies conformance to specifications
    • Troubleshooting of process problems and complete quality improvements
    • Deals extensively with vendors (both parts suppliers and equipment suppliers)
    • Testing, repairing and calibrating electric or electronic components
    • Carries out preventative maintenance procedures
    • Prepares drawings, materials specifications to requisition
    • Able to understand CSA-462 and/or NEMA 70-E
    • Commitment to continuous improvement and work place safety
    • Lean Manufacturing and 5S concepts awareness and adherence
    • Other duties as may be required

    Key Qualifications/Requirements

    • Completion of a technical diploma program (2 years+) from an accredited college or university.
    • Proven of record of PLC programming (Allen Bradley, Siemens) or CNC controls (Fanuc, Siemens)
    • 5 years of automotive manufacturing experience
    • 3 years experience with electronic control systems in a robotic welding or laser field or on CNC machine tool
