ROLE ACCOUNTABILITIES:


  • Creating and maintaining Production Access accounts and monitoring and maintaining Tangerine's Production Data Centers onsite
  • 24/7 onsite support to the Business and all IT Support teams; helpdesk Coverage afterhours
  • Critical infrastructure support onsite and responsibility for the daytoday operational support and maintenance of the Data Centers (ongoing support of systems, incl. hardware installation/removal, cable management, and working with Vendors to support planned or emergency service calls for onsite services)
  • Supporting production changes, which includes involvement with ongoing projects; critical tasks supporting the production environment through Build Release, patches, and other ondemand troubleshooting
  • Monitoring Enterprise Scheduler processes throughout shift to prevent operational risk or service outages and monetary impact to the bank
  • Performing complex IT Operational tasks to support all IT changes or business requests through builds, patches, and changes
  • Managing and monitoring environmental and Infrastructure systems at multiple data centers across Canada
  • Supporting Vendors performing scheduled onsite routine maintenance and inspections of equipment and other infrastructure supporting the Data Centre (e.g., HVAC, UPS, PDU, Fire, and Generator
  • Implementing, testing, and maintaining infrastructure connectivity and cable/power plant, such as crossconnects, cable running, tracing, and troubleshooting onsite in Data Centre.
  • Providing onsite technical hands and eye support (i.e., Data Centre, LAN rooms, office desks), including afterhours
  • Providing firstlevel IT Application Support and Telecommunications support as required; escalating incidents and requests
  • The position requires rotational shift work in a 24/7 onsite operations environment, including days, evenings, and overnights (which require two operators). 24/7 is inclusive of weekends and statutory holidays. All IT Operation Analysts cycle through a schedule that includes every shift. Onsite responsibilities form the core competencies

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 3+ years of demonstrated handson experience in Production Operations or Support environment
  • Previous experience with IT Operations, Help Desk, and Problem/Incident Management tools or procedures
  • Exposure to and knowledge of Unix
  • Working knowledge of Active Directory required
  • Experience with scripting is a strong asset
  • Experience TIDAL Enterprise Scheduler is a strong asset
  • Experience with ITILbased service desk solutions, such as ServiceNow
  • Ability to work in a 24/7 rotating onsite shift environment, including morning, afternoon, and night shifts which include weekends and Statutory holidays
  • Technical certifications with Microsoft, Cisco, or IBM products are an asset
