What you will be doing- Preparing, assembling, and organizing legal documents including, but not limited to, pleadings, financial statements, net family property statements, case conference briefs, motions, affidavits, and trial documents.
- Maintaining document files and case correspondence both physically and electronically.
- Organizing and maintaining calendar for key dates and meetings for lawyer.
- Conducting searches as required.
- Liaising between client and lawyer.
- Transcribing digital dictation.
- Adhere to all company's policies, guidelines, and statutory/legislative requirements.
- Attend and participate in team and supervision meetings.
- Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Who you are:
- Completion of a postsecondary Legal Assistant or Law Clerk or Paralegal Program.
- Minimum of two (2) years experience.
- Good understanding of Family Law Rules and Rules of Civil of Procedure.
- Knowledge of the Family Law Act, Divorce Act and Children's Law Reform Act.
- Good understanding of legal reference materials, procedures, and legal filing systems.
- Experienced and knowledgeable in MS Office Suite, DivorceMate, and Leap Software.
- Excellent attention to detail, oral and writing skills, including proper spelling, grammar, and punctuation for complex documentation.
- Solid computer and typing skills.

- Be willing to continuously learn and grow.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong timemanagement, organizational and document/file management skills.
