Summary of This Role
Responsible for the analyzing of system performance to ensure optimal processing efficiency. Works closely with IT Technical and Application Support teams in identifying and resolving processing issues. Develops and administers multiple software packages involved in the analyzing of system and batch performance. Performs problem determination, analysis and executes corrective action. Creates and maintains various analytical reports utilized by both technical and business owners. Supports all Business Continuity activities. Provides operational support for all conversion/deconversion activities. Communicates with both internal/external clients.


What Part Will You Play?

  • Provide 24/7365 oncall support on a rotational basis
  • Manage Private Label Authorization and Terminal Management Servers
  • Advise multiple GP business units on any outages and scheduled maintenance activities within the processing environment
  • Management of Team mailbox, CSP queue and escalated items via other channels (sales, vendors, merchants).
  • Document and escalate as appropriate, all incidents and assist in providing a timely resolution
  • Analyze transaction failures through multiplatform systems (Base 24, GSAP, POS Devices, Portico, Card Brands, etc.)
  • Execute and monitor daily filetransfer merchant reporting (MDDS and GCF) jobs
  • Host Security Key Management (manage key custodianship and business process as well as pinpad uploads to host).
  • Develop and manage relationships with vendors (DXC, TNS, VeriFone & Ingenico), thirdparty processors, call centers, sales, and other business areas.
  • Liaise with Certifications, Product, and Development departments.
  • Work closely with the Global Payments Network Operations Centre
  • Perform crucial system testing during environment updates (yearly disaster recovery exercises, vendor maintenances etc.)
  • Analyze situations that may create future problems or crisis for operations and make appropriate recommendations (for example as part of a problem management/post incident review discussion) and prepare and deliver timely reports of activities conducted as appropriate.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

What Are We Looking For in This Role?

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Minimum 23 years experience of POS related activities.
  • Post-Secondary education (college or university graduate).
  • Strong communication skills (written and verbal).
  • Demonstrated ability to detect, diagnose and troubleshoot incidents
  • Vast experience with the various Global Payments terminal offerings, integrated solutions, and the associated communication protocols.
  • Experience with Windows Servers such as troubleshooting network connectivity, services, and Active Directory
