We are looking for an experienced National Sales Manager to contribute to our company's sales objectives within our food packaging division.

Your responsibilities include supervising the current sales team and building long-term client relationships.

As a National Sales Manager, you should use your creativity and thorough knowledge of sales processes to provide innovative ideas for business growth.

Ultimately, you should aspire to develop and maintain successful relationships with large regional and national clients.

Responsibilities

Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets
Design and implement a strategic business plan that expands company's customer base
Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities
Negotiate and close agreements with large customers
Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements
Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts
Identify emerging markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status
Liaise with Product Development department

Requirements and skills

Work experience as a Sales Manager (5+ years) ideally at a national level.
Extensive experience within food packaging industry
Previous employment experience with a major food packaging distributor or food packaging manufacturer is an asset
Solid customer service attitude with excellent negotiation skills
Demonstrated ability to communicate, present and drive change effectively at all levels of an organization
Proven ability to drive the sales process from plan to close
Strong communication and team management skills
Availability to travel as needed
