We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as a full-time Computer Science Tutor for elementary and high school students


Position:
Tutor Computer Science (NOC 43109 Hourly wage: $20/hour

Work Location:
River Road, Richmond, BC V6X 1X5 Term of Employment: Permanent, Full-Time, 30 hours per week Vacation: 10 days paid vacation per year

Job Duties:
Conduct computer science tutoring sessions for students ranging from K-12. Develop and implement engaging and interactive lesson plans tailored to the diverse needs of our students. Provide support and guidance to students in understanding key computer science concepts, coding languages, and problem-solving techniques. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages students to explore and excel in computer science. Collaborate with other educators and staff to enhance the overall learning experience for students. Stay abreast of current trends and advancements in computer science education.


Qualifications:
Completion or enrollment of a college diploma or Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field. Prior experience in tutoring or teaching computer science is required. Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or C++. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Passion for STEM education and a commitment to fostering a love for learning. Ability to adapt teaching methods to meet the unique learning styles of individual students. Familiarity with educational technology tools for effective online and in-person teaching.
