Our Sale Consultants are an essential position to the success of Solaris in the Edmonton, Alberta location.

Directly reporting to the Sales Manager, these positions require a high level of knowledge and experience in the field of residential construction, and both contractor (builders, architects, designers) and retail client (homeowners) sales.

A thorough understanding of the customer decision process coupled with a strong commitment to the delivery of top-quality customer service is required.


These sales professionals must have the ability to capture business at high-profit margins, work under pressure and have strong organizational skills.

Your sales will encompass a wide array of tasks and responsibilities dealing with residential construction and renovation projects that are never the same twice.

You are a primary contact of Solaris Canada with the marketplace and as such should represent the business professionally and respectably always whether dealing with clients, co-workers, sub-contractors or product suppliers.

As a key member of the team, you, as the outside sales consultant/respresentative, are responsible for supporting the Sales and Marketing team in a variety of activities including but not limited to sales administration, prospecting, negotiating, closing, project processing, and account management.

You will develop professional relationships with all new and current customers to drive repeat business and deliver excellent customer service.

You will be responsible for:_


Communication with all stakeholders

  • Pleasant, polite and friendly impression is the key to retaining our successful repeat business.
  • Build rapport with all clients, both homebuilders and retail homeowners, as well as any other relevant stakeholders.

Prospecting and Account Management

  • Prospect and source new customer opportunities within defined territory through coldcalling and lead followup, identifying needs and developing sales solutions in order to satisfy customer requirements.
  • Develop professional working relationships with all current clientele in order to drive repeat business and deliver excellent customer service. Builders, architects, and designers as well as homeowners.

Sales Generation

  • Create and refine estimates and quotations as well as qualify clients.
  • Meet and exceed all established sales activity goals as determined monthly.
  • Liaise with manufacturers, inhouse departments and all other relevant suppliers in order to determine status of orders and compliance to delivery times.
  • Provide assistance in developing a sales market for assigned product line to ensure client needs are met.
  • Prepare for and travel to client facilities/offices/homes in order to conduct product demonstrations/presentations to maximize sales opportunities.

Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records, including sales call reports, expense reimbursement forms, billing invoices, and other documentation.
  • Additional responsibilities to participate in meetings, training, safety program, and company policies as well.

YOU:


  • Ideally have completed some post secondary or vocational trade, but we will consider equivalencies.
  • Have a minimum of 3+ years of outside sales experience preferably in a constructionoriented environment.
  • Own a high degree of professionalism and wellgroomed presentation.
  • Are able to effectively utilize the full MS Office suite of software, our sales CRM software & you have agility to learn new programs.
  • Haave great organizational skills: able to multitask and prioritize in a fastpaced environment.
  • Have an entrepreneurial ability to demonstrate initiative, and to identify and implement process improvements.
  • Have a demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as to contribute to a team environment.
  • Communicate at a high level both verbal and written English.
  • Boast strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude; able to deal effectively with customers and coworkers.
  • Are resourceful and able to research issues, gather information and manage the administration of the group.
  • Are physically able to manage moving and setting up displays, handling some equipment and products.
  • Able pass a criminal record check.
