Job Duties Measure, cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists Cut and install metal corner beads in order to protect exterior corners Using a trowel and broad knife, fill holes, joints, cracks and nail indentations with joint compound Allow coat to dry and smooth out excessive compound Sand seams and joints, as well as applying successive coats of compound Fabricate and install metal ceiling grids, place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings Job Requirements Completion of secondary school On the job training will be provided Drywall installer and finisher trade certification is an asset but not compulsory Must be willing to travel across
