Primary Responsibilities;

  • Provide coaching and support for site leadership employees to raise safety awareness
  • Implement and administer company safety programs and policies
  • Conduct periodic site inspections, investigate safety concerns and complete safety audits and Cochair Joint H&S Committee meetings
  • Perform incident investigations, recommend and implement corrective actions
  • Ensure compliance with OHSA and all other relevant H&S related legislation and regulations
  • Administration of all WSIB related claims
  • Perform other job related tasks and duties as required

Qualifications:

  • 13 years relevant experience preferably in manufacturing, ideally in chemicals with a post secondary education in H&S related field
  • Knowledge of current safety legislation and WHMIS
  • Flexibility, multitasking and prioritizing according to workload
  • Experienced in Microsoft word
  • Co-Chair Joint H&S Committee meetings
