Founded in the early 1960's, the Northern Regional Construction Association (NRCA) is a regional non-profit organization representing over 220 members in the construction industry in Northern BC.


Overview:


The Membership and Administration Coordinator position at the Northern Regional Construction Association (NRCA) serves as a pivotal role in providing essential administrative assistance, managing membership-related tasks, and offering basic financial support directly to the CEO.

This position is ideal for an organized and proactive individual looking to contribute to administrative functions and gain foundational experience in financial record-keeping.


Key Responsibilities

Membership Support:

  • Manage the membership database, ensuring accurate and uptodate member records, renewals, and new registrations.
  • Coordinate membership communications and outreach efforts under the guidance of the CEO.
  • Assist in preparing membership reports, tracking metrics, and contributing insights for decisionmaking purposes.

Financial Assistance:

  • Provide basic financial support, including recording and organizing financial transactions and data.
  • Assist in maintaining basic financial records and documentation, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Support in preparing financial reports, transaction recording, accounts payable and accounts receivable for submission to the accounting office or as directed by the CEO.
  • Prepare payroll for processing on a semi monthly basis for submittal to the CEO and board representative for approval.
  • Assist in coordinating with external parties such as vendors or suppliers for invoicing and payment processing.

Administrative Support:

  • Provide general administrative assistance to the CEO, including scheduling meetings, managing correspondence, and handling phone inquiries.
  • Assist in organizing meetings, preparing materials, and taking meeting minutes as needed.
  • Attend Board meetings and committee meetings to take accurate minutes for distribution to the CEO and Board of Directors.
  • Help maintain office supplies, inventory, and equipment in collaboration with the administrative team.
  • Assist in various administrative tasks across departments as required.


This position may entail other duties as assigned by the CEO to support the overall goals and objectives of the association and adapt to evolving organizational needs.


Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or coursework in Business Administration or related field is advantageous.
  • Strong organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic understanding of financial recordkeeping.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively in a fastpaced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn, grow, and take on new challenges.

The salary range for this position with be $52,000 to $56,000 (based on education and/or experience) with a comprehensive benefit package provided after 3 months.

$52,000.00-$56,000.00 per year
