Role Responsibilities:

The Ministry of Advanced Education has an exciting opportunity for you to join our team as an AMS Systems Support Analyst


Reporting to the Senior Manager, the Application Maintenance and Support (AMS Systems Support Analyst) will support the department by maintaining content areas unique to the division's business.

The position works closely with the different business area users to identify division access needs, determining appropriate services, content areas, alternatives to meet these identified needs, and coordinates the implementation of services to meet these needs.

Based on the analysis of each business area's needs, this position, creates, maintains, and updates the various different content areas.

This position also supports division users and stakeholders on content management, service issues, and project work as needed.


In your role as the AMS Systems Support Analyst, you will:

  • Provide support to the division's Electronic Information Systems.
  • Create, maintain, and administer content in the division's Electronic Information Systems such as SharePoint.
  • Analyses the division's content needs and determine the best implementation in the system.
  • Support and maintain the Apprenticeship, Trade and Occupation Management System (ATOMS).
  • Assist in the provision of information from ATOMS by generating and providing reports to internal/external stakeholders and internal GoA business areas.
  • Gather operational requirements for division employees and arrange for the appropriate access through government systems.
  • Consult with other areas of the department to ensure opportunities for using technology to maximize division effectiveness for identification and implementation.
  • Consult with external contractors to resolve technical and system problems.
