What you can expect when joining the team

Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will be a critical part of the Product organization that owns the product strategy, business model and P&L, customer segmentation and pricing.

You will work closely with engineering, business development, customer success, and marketing leaders to set strategy, define the product, and make the difficult, high-judgment trade-offs between opportunities and time-to-market.

Partnering with Petal's business leaders, you will solve the market problems that will bring the most value to the company.

Your daily life
Working in office, hybrid or remotely, preferably within the province of Quebec, you will be led to:

  • Collaborate in developing a strong product vision that rallies your internal stakeholders;

  • Contribute in building business cases and implement business plans with your key stakeholders to execute your product strategy;
  • Contribute in implementing pricing strategy, economic impact, and gotomarket strategy that includes strong product positioning;
  • Manage the product life cycle, including ideation, research, product roadmap, business requirement, and endoflife through a pragmatic product framework;
  • Develop deep expertise in your business domain by working closely with sales, customers, and industry analysts and attending key industry events;
  • Be an expert with respect to the product, the voice of the customer and the competition, and incorporate user learning back into the company to further improve the product;
  • Provide direction and support to the Product Owner Teams, setting priorities, goals and alignment with business needs;
  • Work close with Engineering, Design and Documentation teams to communicate product vision and to coordinate short and long term goals;

Your profile
Are you a Product Management professional, recognized for your understanding of the economics of business and your keen ability to identify the key attributes that drive value? Do you have a deep empathy for developer challenges, balanced with a strategic understanding of business objectives? Are you driven by the challenge of a fast-growing company and the chance to leave your mark? _The sky is the limit_ If you have:

  • A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field of expertise, MBA preferred;
  • 5 years of experience with product management in technical product areas;
  • Demonstrated experience driving elements of the product development lifecycle such as product direction, gotomarket strategy, driving requirements, and product launch;
  • A proven ability to influence crossfunctional teams without formal authority;
  • A track record working in highgrowth environments, and a comfort level with the pace of change and level of ambiguity that accompanies this;
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Excellent teamwork and collaboration skills;
  • The ability to work independently;
  • Selfstarter, cando attitude, ability to multitask and prioritize complex projects;
  • Seeing as you must interact with pancanadian customers as well as teammates, English / French proficiency is required.

Petal's position on remote working

In our opinion, a company cannot claim to be modern, innovative and have the well-being of their team at heart, without attempting to integrate remote working to the level that their business model allows them to.
