Farm Equipment Operator - Chemainus, Canada - Chemainus Farms Ltd.

Description

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain farm machinery and equipment, such as tractors, harvesters, and irrigation systems
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment as needed
• Use hand tools and power tools to perform various tasks on the farm
• Assist with planting, cultivating, and harvesting crops
• Maintain and irrigate gardens and fields
• Perform heavy lifting and manual labor as required
• Follow safety protocols and ensure a safe working environment

Requirements:

• Mechanical knowledge and ability to troubleshoot equipment issues
• Experience operating heavy equipment is preferred
• Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical labor in various weather conditions
• Basic math skills for measuring and calculating quantities
• Familiarity with power tools and hand tools used in farming operations
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately
• Class 1 and/or 3 an asset.
