- Review prints and project specifications for estimating purposes
- Understanding of mechanical drawings for estimating and pricing
- Assemble detailed and accurate quality takeoffs and cost estimates
- Develop project material budgeting by gathering costs for the various items needed to complete the project
- Obtaining equipment and sub contractor pricing
- Preparing final estimate for review
- Visiting job sites for estimating purposes and reviews of estimates on actual jobs
- Preparing change orders, following up on them and processing them once accepted
- Ability to do several smaller jobs at the same time
- Licensed trades person OR combination of education and work experience will be considered
- 4+ years of experience in estimating
- Excellent organization skills.
- Effective communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to read and interpret technical specifications and mechanical drawings.
- Familiar with plumbing and boiler codes.

Position Summary:
Ainsworth, is currently seeking a Sheet Metal/Plumbing Estimator, to join our growing team in Sudbury, Ontario.
Reporting directly to the Construction Manager, the role will be responsible for estimating and commercial renovations and retrofits by independently and accurately pricing jobs from start to finish.
