The Role


The Product Marketing Team plays a pivotal role at Mackenzie by leading the development of effective Marketing plans and strategies that are aligned to corporate goals, objectives, and strategies.


The Manager, Product Marketing is responsible for providing planning and strategic support in the development of Mackenzie's annual marketing plan and strategic initiatives.

This includes identifying, understanding and reconciling any shifts in business needs, advisor and investor insights and competitive and industry trends that may impact Mackenzie Investments, and proposing the appropriate strategies across various business units to address them.


Major responsibilities include:


  • Support the creation, management and execution of the strategic Marketing plans for broad scope multichannel and multisegment initiatives
  • Build and manage close relationships with key business partners, both inside and outside of Marketing, to understand and influence their strategies and priorities
  • Coordinate with internal teams to align Marketing plans with enterprise goals and objectives
  • Translate and execute the strategic Marketing plan into tactical plans inclusive of content, campaigns, editorial, digital and media
  • Communicate the tactical plans to key partners inside and outside of Marketing, by educating and influencing across multiple levels
  • Support efforts to better understand and improve the experience and resources for the advisor and investor

Minimum Requirements:


  • A minimum of four years in Marketing, with at least two years of Product Marketing experience gained within the financial services industry.
  • Strong knowledge of capital markets, asset categories and investment products.
  • Superior strategic planning and product marketing and communications capabilities.
  • Proven success working with sales distribution and product management/investment teams.
  • Strong relationship management and influencing skills at multiple levels.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
  • A track record of results in Product Marketing.
  • Proficiency in MS Office Suite, specifically PowerPoint and Excel.

Education:


  • A University degree with an emphasis on Marketing, Business Administration or Economics.
  • MBA, CFA an asset
  • CSC preferred.
