The successful applicant will have:

Familiarity with the Canadian journalism landscape
Familiarity with the CBC, Radio Canada and the public broadcasting system in Canada
Keen interest in media studies and policy
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
Strong and clear writing skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Effective communication skills (both written and verbal)
Conduct literature reviews and contribute to the preparation of research reports and publications
Support on survey work and qualitative data analysis
Collaborate with other research assistants and team members on assigned tasks
Attend and participate in team meetings and other relevant events

Contract Details:
This position is a part-time casual contract position, with the possibility of renewal based on performance and project requirements.

Salary:
$28-$30/hour

Education:

Currently enrolled PhD student in a relevant field (e.g., Communication Studies, Media Studies, Political Science, Journalism, Psychology, etc.).
