JOB SUMMARY


As directed by Management, is responsible to attend sites where the Service/Install Team will be going or are currently performing service and installs.

They are to ensure the safety, quality and that the technicians are supported.

This includes assessing the quality of work, coaching through problems and making sure they are equipped with the tools and supplies needed to perform their work.

Make recommendations to the manager regarding process improvements.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

But not limited to

Duties

  • Pre-Install Site visits to verify site readiness and note any additional supplies that may be needed to perform the scope of work
  • During Install or Service to verify quality of work, support the techs via trouble shooting, problem solving and ensure safety protocols are being followed
  • Post Service/Install to ensure work is completed to proper standards and sites have been left clean after techs have left site
  • Interface with customers as necessary to make sure they are satisfied
  • Participate in PM's
  • Participate in service calls where an immediate need is required to make functional, or secure a door, such as clamping a spring, prior to a team arriving to provide the complete service
  • Review all work orders to be dispatched to identify gaps in the scope of work and address prior to tech going to site
  • Ensure techs are maximizing their time onsite to complete work as committed to the customer, or faster if possible
  • Ensure techs are filling out their work orders with correct information before they are turned in for processing
  • Ensure techs follow inventory processes when removing product or supplies from the warehouse to their fleet vehicles

Working with Management on the needs of the team such as:

  • Tools
  • Training opportunities and needs
  • Process improvement
  • Quality improvement
  • Safety improvement
  • Ensure that leads are briefing 2nds on the work to be attended to prior to getting to site
  • Ensure leads are prepared as much as possible for the scope of work to be performed prior to attending site
  • Ensure and encourage positive and helpful communication amongst the team
  • Ensure and encourage positive and helpful communication with customers by themselves and the team
  • Audit and Maintain a list of tools and supplies for the fleet vehicles, ensure fleet is being treated to company standards (organization, cleanliness)
  • Effective communication with all levels of staffing: employees, department management and outside sources, critical to the effectiveness and success of the team
  • Other duties as assigned

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • Minimum 35 years' experience in service and installation preferred
  • Product knowledge and experience required
  • Experience leading and training people
