Position Summary

Duties

Dayto daycoordination and implementation of multisite research projects
On behalf of the sponsor, maintain external site file documentation, such as collection of regulatory documents, submission to the Research Ethics Board and other regulatory agencies as required
Participate in crossnetwork patient engagement activities
Organize research team meetings; building strong supportive relationships amongst diverse knowledge users
Prepare study documents and templates (i.e. CRFs, study logs) and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
Manage REDCap Database

- review and monitor study data; issue external accounts

Recruit study participants (e.g. identify, screen potential participants & obtain informed consent)
Liaise on behalf of the sponsor with external stakeholders & members of the clinical site research team
Organize and prepare external sites for monitoring visits and/or audits
Contribute to protocol development

Qualifications

Bachelors degree in a health or sciencerelated field or equivalent
1 to 2 years clinical and/or professional experience is required
3 years clinical research experience and experience with patient contact is preferred
Prior experience in the coordination and administration of clinical trials
Prior experience with research regulatory submissions (i.e. Clinical Trials Ontario)
TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) certification preferred
Knowledge of IATA (International Air Transport Association) shipping regulations and laboratory procedures preferred
Previous experience with multisite surgical and anesthesia clinical trials and/or PI initiated trials preferred
Knowledge of research regulations and guidelines, such as ICH/GCP guidelines, Tri-Council Policy, Declaration of Helsinki and FDA CFR and Health Canada TPD
Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards
Strong verbal & written communication skills
