Position Summary

Duties

  • Dayto daycoordination and implementation of multisite research projects
  • On behalf of the sponsor, maintain external site file documentation, such as collection of regulatory documents, submission to the Research Ethics Board and other regulatory agencies as required
  • Participate in crossnetwork patient engagement activities
  • Organize research team meetings; building strong supportive relationships amongst diverse knowledge users
  • Prepare study documents and templates (i.e. CRFs, study logs) and coordinate all aspects of data collection and source documentation as per UHN policy and ICH/GCP guidelines
  • Manage REDCap Database
- review and monitor study data; issue external accounts

  • Recruit study participants (e.g. identify, screen potential participants & obtain informed consent)
  • Liaise on behalf of the sponsor with external stakeholders & members of the clinical site research team
  • Organize and prepare external sites for monitoring visits and/or audits
  • Contribute to protocol development

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in a health or sciencerelated field or equivalent
  • 1 to 2 years clinical and/or professional experience is required
  • 3 years clinical research experience and experience with patient contact is preferred
  • Prior experience in the coordination and administration of clinical trials
  • Prior experience with research regulatory submissions (i.e. Clinical Trials Ontario)
  • TDG (Transportation of Dangerous Goods) certification preferred
  • Knowledge of IATA (International Air Transport Association) shipping regulations and laboratory procedures preferred
  • Previous experience with multisite surgical and anesthesia clinical trials and/or PI initiated trials preferred
  • Knowledge of research regulations and guidelines, such as ICH/GCP guidelines, Tri-Council Policy, Declaration of Helsinki and FDA CFR and Health Canada TPD
  • Ability to perform duties in a professional and courteous manner and produce high quality work while meeting deadlines in accordance to UHN standards
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills

  • Ability to multitask & perform with accuracy in a fastpaced environment
  • Welldeveloped leadership & excellent interpersonal skills
