Administrative Assistant/ Shipping Coordinator:_

This is a dual responsibility role. This individual will be seated at the Front Desk of our Head Office. They will have the typical responsibilities of an Administrative Assistant.


As a_
Shipping Coordinator, _this individual will beresponsible for shipping out all orders going out of our manufacturing facility, as well as arranging for the transport of incoming shipments, and other related tasks.

-
This role is BEST suited for someone who has a lot of experience with Shipping and Logistics but also enjoys a Receptionist/CSR type role._


Primary Job Responsibilities:

-
Shipping Coordinator:_

*Coordinate with the Production Team and Shipping Manager to ensure materials are ready to ship out for target dates.

*Arrange for timely deliveries of all orders going out to customers locally, to other provinces and sometimes internationally.

*Arrange for the pick-up of production materials and other incoming shipments, as required.

*Be an effective and independent problem solver, to resolve any issues that come up suddenly with scheduling, delivery, etc.

*Follow up to ensure Deliveries and Pick-ups were completed as scheduled.

*Send RFQs (requests for quotes) and negotiate on pricing with Logistics companies when needed.

*Build good rapport with representatives at Logistics companies over time, which is essential to getting better rates over time.

*Seek out and research new Logistics companies to partner with for the future.

Receptionist/ CSR:_

*Answer phone calls and direct to appropriate persons.

*Greet and guests who come to the head office in a friendly, polite and courteous manner. Have them sign in and see how you can be of assistance to them.

*Ensure guests coming in are wearing a mask and following other Covid protection protocols.

*Answer customer service questions if able to do so, or transfer to someone who is able to.

*Maintain a professional image and demeanor at all times.

- *Able to adapt to a new environment quickly_
- *Friendly, polite and enthusiastic_
- *Excellent and precise oral and written communication skills._
- *Good with technology and computers. Able to learn new software quickly_

*Experienced with Microsoft Office Suite & ERP systems.


Job Types:
Full-time, Permanent


Salary:
$55,000.00-$60,000.00 per year
