Description
Our clinic is looking for a full time cardiac sonographer to cover a maternity leave. You will be working with a great group of professionals, a Cardiologist and an Internist. We offers competitive wages and employee benefits. Relocation allowance is available. This position could potentially lead to a permanent full-time position for the right fit. New grads are very welcome to apply.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:
- Perform ultrasonic diagnostic procedures in accordance with accepted protocols as outlined by CorHealth
- Instruct patients regarding procedures to ensure cooperation and optimum test results.
- Follow prescribed safety standards in operating equipment.
- Maintain ultrasound and other equipment in appropriate operating condition.
- Maintain examination rooms and work areas.
- Promote and adhere to the organization's mission and value
- Strong technical experience with 2D echo and Stress echo and reporting.
ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain accurate medical records, reports and files as directed.
- Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information.
- Work as a team member within the imaging centre and physician clinic.
- Document work processes as required.
- Perform other duties as assigned
- IV insertion an asset
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Completion of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program required.
Certification/Licensure:
- Registration with ARDMS and/or CARDUP and CMRITO
- Certification in Echocardiography, or eligible to write exam.
Experience:
- A minimum of 1 year clinical/hospital experience or similar experience; Recent grad will be considered and is welcome to apply
- Stress Echo and Contrast experience will be considered an asset
- IV administration an asset
Skills:
- Ability to operate ultrasound equipment.
- Ability to take vital signs.
- Ability to maintain quality control standards.
- Ability to work independently with mínimal supervision.
- Ability to multitask efficiently and effectively.
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients, medical staff, management and peers.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills including the ability to manage interactions with difficult people.
- Excellent communication skills.
Job Types:
Full-time, Part-time, Casual
Part-time hours: 30-40 per week
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
Supplemental pay types:

COVID-19 considerations:
PPE will be provided; Infection control protocols in place.
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Toronto, ON: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required)
