CAMHS-HN is seeking a flexible and adaptable individual with a background in executive administration and human resources, who will report directly to the Operations Manager.

The Human Resources Administrator will provide human resources and administrative support to the Operations Manager, Clinical Services Managers and
CEO.

The Human Resources Administrator will be required to work with highly sensitive and confidential information of both internal and external sources and must display the highest standard of diplomacy, professionalism, and initiative.

This position requires a self-directed individual and decision maker within their delegated area of authority.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Human Resource Management diploma (preferred)
  • A minimum of 3 years' experience at a senior administrative level
  • Recent Human Resources experience
  • A high degree of integrity and discretion due to exposure to confidential and/or politically sensitive information
  • Ability to adapt to competing demands, while demonstrating the highest level of customer service
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain productive professional relationships
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast paced and demanding environment to meet deadlines with constantly shifting priorities
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail
  • Demonstrated strong organizational and time management skills
  • Competency in Standard corporate software (Microsoft Office
  • Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), database management, spreadsheets, presentation software, capabilities in data entries and searches
  • Experience in using various social media platforms
  • Critical thinking and problemsolving skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Positive attitude, confident with a pleasant demeanor
  • Experience and understanding of all relevant legislation including PHIPA, human resources theory and practice
  • Knowledge of the healthcare system is an asset

RESPONSIBILITIES:

(Duties include, but are not limited to)

  • Provide highlevel human resources administration to the Operations Manager, Clinical Services
  • Managers and CEO in all areas including, but not limited to: correspondence, statistical reports, presentation materials, filing and record maintenance, word processing, scheduling etc
  • Coordinates administrative tasks relating to new hires, transfers, terminations on timely basis to align with onboarding/offboarding timelines
  • Acts as an agency resource for all HR inquiries
  • Coordinate benefit administration for all new hires, changes and terminations
  • Develop and maintain appropriate record management through creating, monitoring, and maintaining employee files
  • Executes the preparation of the new hire orientation program and assists in the delivery as required
  • Track performance reviews and create status reports for management
  • Responsible for administrating and maintaining the recruitment process for nonunion and union classifications at all levels of the organization
  • Develop, update and maintain job postings and job descriptions in accordance with collective agreement requirements/CAMHS policies
  • Facilitate the hiring process including development of current legislative knowledge, seniority lists, sourcing and screening applicants, processing and tracking hiring information, creating letters of offer/transfer
  • Update all job descriptions and interview tools, in collaboration with hiring managers
  • Maintain union collective agreement files and HR policies
  • Perform monthly, quarter, yearly HR metrics related to attendance, probation, seniority and turnover
  • Provides administrative support during meetings and distributes agendas and minutes
  • Receive and organize communication, correspond with internal and external stakeholders and advise and update staff on pertinent information while utilizing sound judgement skills and maintaining confidentiality
  • Embraces new challenges and has a diversity of skills that enable the ability to take on special projects
  • Adherence to all health and safety policies, procedures and provisions
  • Other relevant duties as assigned
  • Input and maintain statistical information and general reports, ensuring accuracy and compliance with deadlines
  • Assist in orientation of new staff as required
