The Opportunity


We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Warehouse Associate to join our team, specializing in the handling and distribution of solar products.

As a key member of our logistics team, you will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth operation of our warehouse.


AccountabilitiesEssential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:


Staging Orders:


  • Accurately and efficiently stage outgoing orders for timely shipment.
  • Collaborate with the fulfillment team to prioritize and organize orders based on deadlines and customer requirements.

Receiving Solar Products:


  • Receive incoming solar products and verify the accuracy of shipments.
  • Inspect and report any discrepancies or damages to ensure the quality of received goods.

Maintaining Inventory:


  • Conduct regular cycle counts and maintain accurate inventory records.
  • Coordinate with the inventory control team to reconcile discrepancies and ensure optimal stock levels.

Maintenance of Warehouse:


  • Keep the warehouse clean, organized, and in compliance with safety standards.
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure equipment and facilities are in good working condition.

Forklift Operation:


  • Operate a counterbalance forklift to move, stack, and organize solar products within the warehouse.
  • Adhere to safety guidelines and regulations while operating the forklift.

Ability to Lift Heavy Products:


  • Safely lift and move heavy solar products as needed, following proper lifting techniques.
  • Collaborate with team members to handle oversized or bulky items efficiently.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of prior counterbalance forklift operation experience.
  • Proven experience in warehouse operations and inventory management.
  • General knowledge of warehouse/storeroom and inventory practices.
  • Ability to operate a forklift and possess a valid counterbalance forklift operator's license.
  • Familiarity with solar products and warehouse operations.
  • Proficient in using warehouse management systems (WMS).
  • Physical capability to lift heavy products and perform manual tasks.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures and willingness to adhere to them.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates.

  • Strong Communication with ability to follow oral and written instructions in English.

Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands:


  • This job involves the following physical demands: Walking, standing, bending, stretching, using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items.
  • A large percentage of work time is spent in a warehouse where temperatures can range from cool to hot and noise level can be moderate to high.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
